For the first time in a long time, I bought PES at launch instead of Fifa. I played that demo for PES 2016, and I was like "dang man, this gameplay is totally, clearly better that Fifa." So I switched horses. PES's lack of licenses always made it seem a non-starter to me, yet I kept hearing the gameplay was good, so I would download the latest demo over the years, say "meh", and go back to Fifa Career Mode.
